Law and Order September 25

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

25-0010117 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Foot Pursuit / Warrant Service – Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver stopped in the parking lot and fled on foot West towards the creek. ERPD saturated the area, deployed K9 to begin a track. Police spotted the subject near Key West & Springvale. The suspect was found lying down in the backyard of a residence on Key West Avenue. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without further incident. During the pursuit, an officer sustained a laceration to his arm after encountering a wire fence. The officer was treated for his injury at the local hospital. K9 Quest sustained a laceration to his ear and was treated at the veterinary clinic. In addition to the traffic violations and evading charges, he was found to have multiple outstanding warrants out of Walker County.

25-010108 – Hilldale Drive & Brookwood Drive – Suspicious Person – Police responded to the area on a report a male with an army green hoodie and jeans was walking on the sidewalks and was not familiar to the residents. Officers contacted the man who said he was walking and talking. It appeared the man was a mental health consumer and was advised to find another area to walk.

25-010112 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Patrol assisted CID in locating a possible credit-card scanner on a fuel pump. The incident is under investigation.

25-010119 – 500 BLK S. Sweetbriar Avenue – Suspicious Activity – A resident reported that two males in a white SUV tried to enter her home by telling her that they were hired by her husband to work on the Wi-Fi. The complainant is not married. The parties left prior to police arrival.

25-010121 – 800 Belvoir Avenue – Assault PD Only – The caller asked for police guidance after her young child was pushed down by another child. She was advised to take this matter up with the school as the children were not of an appropriate age for criminal justice intervention.

25-010127 – 500 BLK South Lovell Avenue – Residential Fire – Officers tended to a resident while ERFD extinguished a small kitchen fire in her home.

Night Shift September 24: C Squad

25-010131 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – The property manager reported three homeless individuals were loitering in front of the store. Police located the three subjects in the parking lot with several personal items. Officers checked the individuals for warrants and criminally trespassed them per the request of the property manager.

25-010138 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with a Forfeiture Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge on the arrest warrant was Theft under $1000.

25-010141 – 500 BLK West Shadowlawn Drive, Chattanooga – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge Police Officers assisted Chattanooga Police in setting up a perimeter around 15th Avenue and Shadowlawn Drive. Chattanooga Police utilized a K9 and a drone to search for a suspect in an attempted residential burglary. The subject also had several confirmed arrest warrants. He was not located and may have left prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

25-010142 – 1300 BLK Adonna Lane- Domestic Assault – Police responded to an assault in progress at this residence and found the incident was captured on a Ring doorbell camera. The video showed the female suspect assaulting a male on the front porch of their residence. The woman was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
