Law and Order September 9

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift September 5: A Squad

25-009401 – 1000 BLK Greens Lake Road – Civil Matter – A woman called to report that she had left her teenage son in the care of her boyfriend while she moved to Massachusetts. Her boyfriend then moved to Gulfport, Mississippi with her son and now she wants her son back. She was told that ERPD cannot drive to Mississippi to retrieve her child and bring him to Massachusetts. She was advised to go and retrieve her son.

25-009392 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Vandalism – The owner called to report a male subject from a previous vandalism report had returned, and again, vandalized the business. He advised the unknown male removed screws from a piece of sheet metal that prevents anyone from accessing the area behind the washing machines and valued repair at $50. There is no suspect information currently.

Night Shift September 5: C Squad

25-009420 – 10 BLK Sheridan Lane – Assist Other Agency – Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) initiated a traffic stop with a 2003 silver Lexus in the City of Chattanooga. THP Troopers terminated the pursuit after losing sight of the vehicle. Later in the shift, a Trooper located the vehicle near Brainerd Road and followed it onto South Seminole Drive. East Ridge Police Officers responded and assisted THP in a felony stop with the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

25-009422 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Assist Other Agency – Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Officer initiated a traffic stop with a white 2012 Chevrolet Impala on Highway 58. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued through East Ridge and ended with the suspect vehicle crashing into a wall on Interstate 75. The suspect fled on foot and East Ridge Police Officers assisted in establishing a perimeter. The suspect was located and taken into custody by the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office.

25-009424 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue– Burglary in Progress / Arrest – Police Officers responded to a burglary in progress at apartments. Officers determined that a woman broke into a man’s apartment and attacked him. The parties were formerly in a relationship. The suspect fled the scene as Police arrived at the location. Officers established a perimeter and the Red Bank Police K9 responded to the location. The suspect was eventually located three blocks away and was taken into custody. She was charged with Aggravate Burglary, Domestic Assault, Vandalism and Evading.

Day Shift September 6: A Squad

25-009436 – 5700 BLK Roper Street– Disorder – Police responded to this location for an unknown trouble. On scene, Officers located a male and female in a verbal disagreement over children’s clothing. Both parties agreed to separate for the evening.

25-009441 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Investigators with the Crime Suppression Unit contacted two individuals at the hotel. Both individuals had verified warrants and were subsequently transported to jail.

25-009438 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police executed an outstanding warrant for Domestic Assault. The subject was transported to Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

Night Shift September 6: C Squad

25-009449 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Focused Speed Enforcement – The East Ridge Police Traffic Unit conducted focused speed enforcement at this location from approximately 1900-2030. The enforcement effort resulted in seven warning citations for speeding, one citation for speeding, and one citation for reckless driving.

25-009454 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to several reports of specialty cars gathering in and around the parking lots at this location. Upon arrival, officers found that approximately 90 vehicles had taken over the area and were blocking business driveways and entrances. Police attempted to speak to the coordinator of the event, but the participants refused to cooperate with law enforcement. Officers asked the vehicle owners to move on to another location with better parking capacity.

25-009458 – 6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, Police found that a party was driving with a revoked license for DUI. The subject was arrested for Driving while License Revoked and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

Day Shift September 7: A Squad

25-009477 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Arrest – Officers observed a male subject tampering with a trash receptacle at the car wash and stopped him to inform him of the city ordinance against such activity. During the encounter, the man was found to be in possession of approximately 87.6 Grams of Marijuana, 1.7 Grams of Methamphetamine, a digital scale, a large quantity of baggies, and several pipes used for smoking Methamphetamine and Marijuana. He was taken into custody charged with Possession of Schedule II – Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Hamilton County Detention Center without incident.

25-009481- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – While patrolling properties on the watch-list, police located three male subjects in the dumpster area. One of the males was found to have a probation violation warrant out of Catoosa County. The warrant verified and he was transported to the jail without incident. His two bicycles and knife were submitted into property for safe keeping.

Night Shift September 7: C Squad

25-009491 – 3300 BLK Gleason Circle – Theft of an Automobile – The resident reported that his 2019 Can-Am Ryker was stolen from outside his home. The three-wheel bike was last seen on September 1. The bike is a Rally Edition, black in color, with “666” white stickers on the front end. Currently, there are no suspects or leads for the case. The vehicle was entered into NCIC, reference NIC: V747121976.

25-009500 – 3400 BLK Bennett Road – Warrant Service – Police Officers conducted a self-initiated warrant service at this residence after they found a fugitive was living there. He had a total of fifteen active arrest warrants for Theft of Property by Fraud. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-009501 – 3900 BLK Bennett Road – Warrant Service – Police Officers conducted a self-initiated warrant service at this location. Police found that the party had a Petition to Revoke Probation warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the probation was Possession of Methamphetamine. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-009506 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorderly Conduct / Arrest – ERPD responded to a disorder at the gas station involving a homeless male. Officers observed the man yelling racial slurs and aggressive verbiage toward customers. Several attempts were made to de-escalate the situation, but the man refused to calm down. The suspect was arrested, charged with Disorderly Conduct, and transported to Hamilton County Jail.

Day Shift September 8: B Squad

25-009513- 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd- Criminal Trespass – A transient woman was located under the bridge at the above address, a hazardous area she was trespassed from on 4/4/25 (prox. restriction 25-000062). The party was medically cleared before being transported to Hamilton County Jail for criminal trespass.

25-009514 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Criminal Trespass – A man was criminally trespassed from the archway under Ringgold Road after police found him sleeping under the bridge. He was advised to vacate the area by the end of the day.

Night Shift September 8: D Squad

25-009536 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was served an East Ridge warrant for Petition to Revoke for Possession of Methamphetamine while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
