I have lived in East Ridge for the last 12 years, and in that time alone I have seen plenty of development and change for better and for worse, from Camp Jordan development to the terrible flooding on I-75 a couple of years ago. I have children who have been born here and are being raised here.
So when I think about where East Ridge is currently, and what options it has to grow for both myself as I grow older and for my children who are educated and play sports here, no other candidate like James L.C. Meyers has outlined what steps East Ridge needs to take and opportunities to look for.
The Border Region Grant has afforded East Ridge a much needed cash flow influx to help spur business development and bring in more revenue, but this grant will not last forever, and I have not heard yet from any other candidate how East Ridge can position itself to transition from relying on grant income to our own prospects, and yet balance all of this with the people who live here.
James L.C. Meyers owns a business in East Ridge, he’s a Realtor in East Ridge, he is raising children in East Ridge.
I know of no one else as uniquely qualified to represent East Ridge interests of balancing the needs of business development with family living and residential needs than James L.C. Meyers, who is tied into the real estate market and zoning updates, and has a family who gives him a stake in making sure East Ridge looks out for the residents who live and are growing up here.
I voted for James L.C. Meyers, and I invite you do the same; for us now, and for us in the future!
