Oct. 29 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

Oct. 27 Day Shift

900 block Donaldson Road (fraud):

The complainant was scammed by an unknown suspect claiming to be with the Geek Squad. The complainant followed through with instructions to acquire two $500 gift cards which were sent to the suspect. (21-015557)

6700 block Ringgold Road (psychiatric emergency):

A male subject was acting strange just days after being released from a local psychiatric facility. A family friend stated the man was observed acting in a bizarre manner. EMS spoke with the subject and deemed him satisfactory, however, he had a warrant out of GA and was taken into custody and transported to Silverdale. (21-015558)

6519 Ringgold Road (psychiatric emergency):

Police responded to the Super 8 on what was initially thought to be a domestic disorder, but it was discovered the male party was suffering from schizophrenia and having a psychotic break. Officers took the party to Parkridge East for evaluation. (21-015565)

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):

Kendall Klimp was served with an East Ridge alias capias for driving on suspended driver’s license while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. (21-015576)

3984 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):

The pharmacist/owner of Stop ‘N’ Go gas station and pharmacy requested police criminally trespass a male who comes on the property to panhandle. Police checked the area but did not locate the subject. (21-015559)

Night Shift

900 block Spring Creek Rd (Mentally Disturbed  21-015590):

Police were advised of an assault occurring inside a motor vehicle in the Shell gas station parking lot. Police located the vehicle at Spring Creek and Honeysuckle in Chattanooga. The male party was having a schizophrenic episode. He was transported to Parkridge by EMS.

Ringgold Road @ West End Ave (Evading 21-015600):

Police attempted to stop a white Chrysler Sebring. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed onto McBrien Road heading north into Chattanooga. Officers did not pursue the Chrysler per department policy.

Greens Lake Rd / Edwards Ter (Suspicious Activity/Arrest 21-015598):

Police received several calls regarding a male in the area of E. Stump Street and Greens Lake Road looking into windows. Police contacted the male at the intersection of Greens Lake and Edwards Terrace and found him to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody for public intoxication but could not be identified.

300 Spring Creek Rd (Traffic Stop/AOA Warrant Service 21-015602):

Luketa Rice was taken into custody on a Hamilton County warrant during a traffic stop at this location.
