Police Briefs for April 23

Late Wednesday night the East Ridge Police Department received several calls from the 1100 block of McBrien Road and from residences on Moore Road regarding gunshots being fired.

According to a pass along report, when officers arrived in the area the shots continued. Officers could hear shots and see muzzle flashes coming from behind the house at 1125 McBrien Rd. As officers made it behind the apartments at the address, they located Tomas Matius Miguel standing in the parking lot after coming out of Apartment A in the building. Police located 30 spent shell casings around the threshold of Apartment A where Miguel lives. 

A search warrant for the apartment was quickly obtained for weapons and ammunition associated with shots being fired from the address, the report states.

Miguel, 23,  was charged with Reckless Endangerment, Possession of a Firearm while Intoxicated, and Discharging a Firearm within City Limits.

April 20 Day Shift

22-005496- 3951 Ringgold Road- Auto Theft-

On arrival police met with the complainant. She advised a male who entered the business after completing an online credit application to test drive a car took a black 2009 Nissan Rogue following the test drive. The male was identified as Travis Martin. Warrants are being sought.

22-005498- 1410 Mack Smith Road – Assault-

Dispatch received a call from an unknown female on a 911 only phone advising she had been assaulted by a group of people. She then disconnected. Police checked the room and the occupants advised they did not call. The unknown female was not located.

Night Shift

623 Camp Jordan Pkwy/ Mentally Disturbed (22-005512):

The Hampton Inn staff called police regarding a male party who appeared to be mentally ill and yelling in the lobby area. Police contacted him.  He was issued a trespass warning and told not to return to the hotel.

1400 Altamaha Street / Traffic Stop:

Malori Patton was arrested for driving on suspended and possession of schedule II (fentanyl) during a traffic stop at this location. She was also issued several traffic citations. The vehicle was towed by Cannon’s. (22-005518)

22-005519: 5301 Ringgold Rd/Narcotics violation:

A consensual encounter was initiated with a suspicious vehicle at this location. The occupants, Arial Mcspadden and Chandi Walker, were found to be in possession of methamphetamine (7g), marijuana (13g), pressed Xanax pills (20), and methadone pills (3), scales, baggies, and items consistent with distribution. Both subjects were transported to Silverdale.
