Police Briefs for Aug. 23

Day Shift August 22

24-010796 – 3000 BLK Ringgold Rd – Roll over crash – A crash occurred at the intersection on Ringgold Rd and S. Seminole Drive initially listed as entrapment. Police arrived on scene, the crash was accessed, and the traffic investigator arrived to take over. Police and Fire equipment blocked the roadway until the vehicles were safely towed. The female driver of the rolled over vehicle received treatment and was transported to local hospital for minor injuries.

24-010800 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Theft – The store manager called about a theft that was committed by an employee. The theft occurred over an unknown period and consisted of lottery tickets, food goods, and possible cash. The employee did admit to the district manager via a written statement that he had been taking items. No evidence is present at the time of the report.

24-010806 – 500 BLK South Moore Rd – found property – The School Safety Officer contacted East Ridge Police to turn in a backpack that was abandoned at the school. The backpack was placed into property and evidence.

24-010793 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Rd – Harassment – The caller reported that a party, who she has a TPO against, was following her to work, and was weaving in and out of traffic. Police checked the area for the suspect’s vehicle, but it wasn’t located. She told Hamilton County Dispatch that she could not stop for Police to get more information.

24-010801 – 6100 BLK Nottingham Dr – Theft – The complainant stated she had captured a subject on her ring camera stealing items from her carport. The unknown subject was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt, black/camo shorts and wearing an orange backpack. He was seen heading Northbound on Spring Creek riding a BMX bicycle.

24-010813 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Assault – The victim of the assault stated he and the suspect were having a verbal altercation. The suspect then proceeded to grab the reporting party from the rear and attempted to bring him down to the floor. The suspect left only to find he had dislocated the victim’s shoulder. Warrants will be sought for assault.

Night Shift August 22

24-010826 – 3200 BLK Ringgold Rd – Domestic Assault – A man was arrested for aggravated domestic assault. He was taken to Hamilton County Jail.

24-010829 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – A man turned himself in at East Ridge Police Department on two warrants (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale). He was transported to Hamilton County Jail.

24-010830 – Ringgold Rd at San – Suspicious Person/Warrant Arrest – A suspicious male was reported at the car wash. He was found to have a warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was taken to Hamilton County Jail.
