Day Shift August 11
23-010148- 3500 BLK US41- Assault – Store personnel stated the driver of a white Tacoma was in a physical altercation with the back seat passenger. Upon arrival the suspect and victim, were back in the vehicle and leaving the establishment. The victim stated he did not want to participate in the prosecution of the suspect.
23-010154 – 800 BLK Sweetbriar Cir – Found Narcotics – The caller reported locating a small, black canvas case on her neighbor’s property. Upon inspection of the item, it was found multiple pressed pills of fentanyl inside and an altered straw. The items were placed in property and evidence to be destroyed.
23-010160 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service/Violation of Order of Protection – A man was taken into custody for a valid warrant for a violation of order of protection. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail for booking.
23-010142-3400 BLK Amber Ave- Vandalism- Police responded to this location due to a glass screen door being broken overnight. Police did not observe any other signs of forced entry.
23-010145- 320 E View Drive- Disorder- Officers responded to this location for a disorder with a weapon involved. Officers spoke with both parties who advised they were assaulted by the other. Both parties were separated by police for the evening.
23-010138- 4100 BLK Ringgold Rd- Disorder/Narcotics Arrest – Calls were received about a couple in disorder. After a traffic stop, an an occupant of the car was arrested for narcotics. The disorder was apparently concerning the narcotics.
Night Shift August 11
23-010162 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – A man was taken into custody at this location for Driving under the influence following a road rage incident called into ERPD dispatch. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-010177 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was served four outstanding Forfeiture Capias warrants out of East Ridge during an encounter with Chattanooga Police. The Forfeiture Capias warrants were for Possession of fentanyl for resale x2, Possession of meth for resale, and Possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail by CPD.
23-010165 – 6500 BLK Slater Road – Suspicious Person – The business owner called police regarding a homeless male that had been in the store. The owner stated the male exhibited suspicious behavior and asked for a box so he could make a trap. The business owner was also concerned that he had set up a tent behind the store. Police checked the area and did not find the suspicious male. A small, abandoned campsite was found behind the store, but no one was near it.
23-010168 – 5700 BLK Lee Highway – Warrant Service – A man was detained by the Chattanooga Police Department and found to have an active warrant through the city of East Ridge. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-010189 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – D.U.I. – Police stopped a vehicle for traveling down the middle of Ringgold Road with a flat tire. Upon further investigation, the man was found to be driving under the influence. He was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift August 12
23-010204 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Burglary – Officers were dispatched to an open door at a business. Police located a glass front door that had been shattered. A large number of CBD items and Vapes had been taken. CID responded and processed the scene.
23-010202 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity – While conducting a business check an officer observed a blue Buick in the parking lot occupied by a male driver and female backseat passenger. The female entered the store and perused several higher priced items, placing them in a shopping cart and then removing them. She finally exited the store after purchasing bottled tea. It was later learned another female in the store had also arrived in the same vehicle. Police presence in the store thwarted what was likely a conspiracy to commit theft. All parties were identified and released.
23-010203 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity – Officers responded to the request of the business manager to ask a homeless party to depart from his sidewalk. The suspicious party was found to have an extraditable warrant out of Alabama. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
23-010214 – 5400 BLK Marion Ave – Domestic Disorder – A woman reported she and a man were in a verbal disorder. Both had physical signs they had been assaulted. They were both taken into custody for assault. One also had an active warrant through Hamilton County Sessions. Both were parties were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Night Shift August 12
23-010239 – 4100 BLK Cemetery Road – Warrant Service – During a traffic stop at this location a woman was taken into custody and transported to Silverdale where she was booked for her outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County.
23-010248 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop Arrest – Police stopped a Kia Soul for a light law violation. A man inside the vehicle and had active warrants out of sessions for Theft & Drug Paraphernalia.
23-010240 – Spring Creek @ Sunnyfield Lane – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police noticed a vehicle slow down when police approached behind them and began to swerve into oncoming lanes. The driver was placed into custody for DUI 2nd.
23-010246 – Ringgold Road @ Sunnyfield Lane – Traffic Stop/DUI Arrest – Police observed a vehicle swerving in their lane of travel. The driver was arrested for DUI and open container law.
23-010250 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Unknown Trouble – Police were called to unknown trouble reported by an anonymous caller. The anonymous caller stated that they could hear a man and a woman fighting. Upon arrival, police searched for signs of distress, but nothing was found. Police also contacted several patrons at the motel, but all stated they heard nothing. Police attempted to contact the anonymous caller several times, but no one answered the phone.
Day Shift August 13
23-010251 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – A man was observed staggering through the parking lot of several businesses. He was taken into custody for public intoxication.
23-010255 – 5000 BLK S Terrace – Suspicious Activity – A woman was located inside a truck trailer parked behind the business. She was told to leave the area. Officers noticed what was potentially another homeless party’s belongings in the trailer.
23-010256 -6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated Party – Police responded to reports of an intoxicated party in the parking lot. Officers encountered a man who demonstrated signs of an opiate intoxication. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and taken into custody a short time later for public intoxication. At the jail it was discovered he was in possession of fentanyl. He was charged accordingly.
23-010264 – 1100 BLK Chippewah Drive – Auto Theft – Police met with the victim who stated she had her red 2018 Volkswagen Passat stolen from her residence between 08/12/2023 2100 hours to 08/13/2023 0700 hours. Some of the vehicle’s unique features are a dented hood, a busted passenger mirror, and part of the left front grill being broken.
23-010254 – 3700 BLK Norma Drive- Harassment- Officers spoke with a woman who claimed her neighbor has been poisoning her with a substance through the air and her water supply.
Night Shift August 13
23-010279 – 700 Belvoir Avenue – Traffic Stop – During a traffic stop at this location, a woman was taken into custody for speeding and resisting stop, halt, frisk. She was transported to Silverdale where she was booked accordingly.
23-010921 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Drug Overdose – Police spoke to the reporting party on scene who stated that a party was overdosing in his back seat. Police assisted EMS with getting the party out of the vehicle and into the ambulance. Police found 5.1 grams of fentanyl inside a wallet and a meth pipe inside of his pants. He was cleared from the hospital and transported to jail for possession of fentanyl for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges against the man were denied by the magistrate due to TCA 63-1-156.
No Number Assigned – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency – ERPD assisted Fort. Oglethorpe Police department on a traffic stop at this location due to suspect vehicle stopping in Tennessee.
23-010288 – 400 BLK Greenway View Drive – Shots Fired – A concerned citizen who preferred to remain anonymous reported a shooting in the Brainerd area. The citizen said he believed he heard a gunshot near the cell phone tower located behind the Walmart Super Center. The anonymous citizen stated that a party had possibly shot a man in that area. Chattanooga Police Department was notified of the situation and several officers responded to the location. No gunshot victims were found, but police observed several suspicious individuals in the area.
