Police Briefs for Dec. 24

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

Dec. 22 Day Shift

1410 John Ross Road (suspicious person)

A passing motorist observed a male in white coveralls on a bicycle riding up John Ross reaching into mailboxes as he worked his way toward the crest.  Police got into the area quickly but did not locate him. (21-018407)

3600 block Bennett Road (recovered firearm)

CPD arrested Tayvon Nelson, and recovered a gun which had been stolen from an address in East Ridge three years earlier. (18-000936)

6100 N. Mack Smith Road (DUI)

Donald Handley was arrested for DUI after police received a call about a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle. (21-018419)

600 block Marlboro Avenue (domestic assault)

A male subject was taken into custody for violation of conditions of release, domestic assault and vandalism. He was involved in a domestic assault with his boyfriend. (21-018426)

Night Shift

1417 St. Thomas St (Criminal Impersonation/Warrant Service 21-018448)

Kylan Ragsdale was arrested for Criminal Impersonation and Hamilton County warrants following a traffic stop.

6708 Ringgold Road (Disorder 21-018447)

Police observed an active disorder at the Circle K gas station. Upon further investigation, Jon Cumber was observed to be highly intoxicated and berating customers. Cumber was taken into custody for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, theft conduct involving merchandise, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alprazolam and assault.

941 Spring Creek Road (AOA/21-0183450)

Police were called to Parkridge East Hospital regarding a male patient in a mental crisis. Upon arrival, police stood by until the patient was sedated

4214 Ringgold Rd (Supplement 21-018419)

Donald Handley II was arrested earlier in the day. Handley had been transported by EMS and had left his wallet inside the ambulance. Police took possession of the wallet and placed it into property and evidence until the man can retrieve it.

5300 Ringgold Rd (Evading Arrest 21-018443)

Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a black 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, Georgia tag: XRD613. The vehicle fled the traffic stop.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-018446)

Timesha Vaughn was served with an active East Ridge arrest warrant at Silverdale.
