The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
July 26 Day Shift
6515 Ringgold Road (DUI):
Darnese Williams was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop. Gaines was also issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. (21-010601)
5816 Ringgold Road (warrant service):
Zachary Combs was arrested on six Hamilton County warrants and one Collegedale warrant following a traffic stop. The passenger, Amber Stonecipher, was arrested for three Hamilton County warrants. Both were transported to the Silverdale. (21-010618)
3208 Ringgold Road (found property):
An employee of East Ridge Fast Lube turned in a S&W M&P .380 found in a rental car returned to the business. The firearm was placed into Property and Evidence. The owner of the firearm later contacted the business after realizing he left the gun in the vehicle. (21-010606)
6401 N. Mack Smith Road (suspicious person):
Employees of the Dialysis Clinic called after a man entered the clinic and refused to leave. Contact was made with Timothy W. who was transported to the Community Kitchen by request. (21-010598)
1410 Mack Smith Road (medical):
Police and EMS responded to a female subject passed out in a car at the Budgetel. Before emergency personnel could arrive she regained consciousness and returned to her room. EMS spoke with the subject who refused medical assistance and was uncooperative with police and EMS. (21-010604)
1000 Bass Pro Drive (medical):
While conducting a business check officers were flagged down by customers in the parking lot concerning an 80 year old male suffering from dehydration. He was transported by ambulance. (21-010610)
1600 block Waterhouse Street (fraud):
The resident fell for an internet scam involving wrapping her car for advertisement. After realizing it was a scam she contacted the USPS which was able to intercept her payment and retrieve her money. (21-010612)
I-75/I-24 (domestic assault):
Catoosa County contacted ERPD after making contact with a female at the Georgia Welcome Center. She stated her boyfriend, William Piper, assaulted her while they were driving through East Ridge. He fled the area on foot after she pulled over at the Welcome Center and called police. (21-010616)
3706 Ringgold Rd (Alarm 21-010627):
Officers responded to an audible burglar alarm at Boost Mobile. When police arrived, they located an unlocked front door. The building was cleared for intruders and multiple attempts were made to have a manager respond and secure the door. The attempts were unsuccessful.
201 Eads St (AOA Arrest 21-010628):
Officers observed a vehicle associated with Eric Holland who had active aggravated robbery warrants through Hamilton County. Police were able to locate Holland in an apartment and took him into custody without incident.
6504 Ringgold Rd (Unknown 911 21-010629):
Police responded to a report of a male party asking for officers to help him. He had been dropped off in East Ridge by the Chattanooga Police Department after he requested they give him a ride into Georgia. ERPD was able to assist the party into getting to Georgia.
400 S. Moore Rd (Arrest 21-010631):
Rasean Smith was taken into custody on East Ridge warrants during a traffic stop.
4145 Ringgold Rd (Unconscious Party 21-010632):
Police responded with Fire personnel on reports of an unconscious 21-year-old female. When officers arrived the female was alert and became confrontational with police and fire personnel. She refused any treatment claiming it was just an asthma attack.
2000 McBrien Rd (Fail to Stop 21-010635):
Police observed a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling south on McBrien Road that returned as a stolen vehicle. Officers initiated a traffic stop but the SUV fled at a high rate of speed into Georgia. Police did not pursue. It was later learned the vehicle had recently been reported stolen from 5700 Roper Street in East Ridge.
5394 Reneau Way (Suspicious Activity 21-010638):
Police responded to a report of a small SUV driving through the neighborhood and the occupants possibly checking car doors. The only occupied vehicle located was an Uber picking up a customer.
6514 Ringgold Rd (DUI Arrest 21-010643):
Kyla Mercil was taken into custody for possession of schedule II and DUI.
6519 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-010644):
Officers responded to reports of a male subject loitering around the Super 8 Motel corridors. Police made contact with Jeffery Green who was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and transported to Silverdale.
950 Spring Creek Rd (Shots Fired 21-010645):
Police responded to numerous reports of a single gunshot being heard in the area. Nothing located by police.
