Day Shift June 11
24-007488 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest Warrant – A woman was arrested on multiple outstanding Hamilton County Warrants and transported to the jail.
24-007496 – 10 BLK Sheridan Road – Arrest Warrant – A man was arrested on a fugitive warrant and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-007475 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge Police were requested by Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies to assist them by surveilling a business for a party with a capias for attempted murder. East Ridge officers observed the man leave the business and attempt to enter a vehicle. He was detained and transferred to the custody of HCSO fugitive deputies.
24-007492 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Citizen Assist – Police and the East Ridge Fire Department responded to this location after a concerned neighbor reported a small child was locked inside a vehicle that was not running. Responders determined the autistic child had absconded from their home after their father fell asleep. The child apparently then accessed the vehicle, which had an open window. Officers contacted the father, and he retrieved the child.
24-007485 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft/Misdemeanor Citation – The Asset Protection Team contacted police after they observed a man stealing various meat products from the store. Officers contacted him along with his friend. The accompanying party was found to have two active warrants out of Sessions Court and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. The man was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for theft and sent on his way. Both were criminally trespassed from the business.
24-007449 – 1600 BLK E Ridge Avenue – Backup Other Agency – East Ridge Animal Services requested police assistance after the owner of a dog they were checking on became uncooperative. Officers observed the animal to be extremely underweight and trapped in a cage too small for the size of the dog. The owner was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for animal cruelty, and the dog was surrendered to East Ridge Animal Services.
Night Shift June 11
24-007516 – 4100 BLK East Ridge Avenue – Aggressive Animal – Police responded to this location for an aggressive animal complaint between a dog and a pig. The pig was severely injured during the attack and East Ridge Animal Services (ERAS) was notified. ERAS responded to the location and conducted an interview with the homeowner.
24-007510 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Altering Registration Plate – During a routine traffic stop, police found a temporary registration tag with an altered expiration date. The officer discovered that new letters had been printed out and taped over the original date. Warrants for the falsification of a registration will be sought after further investigation.
CPD 24-053750 – I24 Westbound – Closed Roadway – ERPD assisted CPD in closing a surface street after structural debris fell from the I-24 overpass bridge. ERPD remained on scene until additional CPD units and THP arrived at the location. CPD has diverted all I-24 Westbound between Germantown Rd and 4th Ave.
