Police Briefs for May 28

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports provided by the administration.

May 27 Day Shift

5342 Matthews Drive (property damage):

The resident reported an unknown suspect, driving a black Chevy S-10, struck the brick base of her mailbox causing approximately $50 in damage.

730 Germantown Circle (domestic assault):

The complainant stated her husband, Seng Ng, struck her in the back of the head prior to fleeing the area. Warrants are being sought against Ng.

505 S. Moore Road (disorderly conduct):

James Henderson was arrested for disorderly conduct after found lying on the parking lot of the OLPH.

Night Shift

2008 Schmidt Rd. (tree down):

Police were dispatched to this location regarding a fallen tree that had taken down the power lines to this residence. Police taped off the area, and EPB was notified.

5301 Ringgold Rd. (theft):

Misty Dawn Kelley was issued a misdemeanor citation for theft, after being observed by staff stealing items from the store. Ms. Kelley admitted to the theft, and to being a prostitute and was on her way to the Super 8 to see a customer. The shift manager stated Walgreens would prosecute.

1441 N. Smith St. (mis. cite):

Marceia Hilt was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving on revoked, following a traffic stop at this location.

124 Fawn Drive (Aggravated domestic assault):

Victoria Crabtree was arrested for aggravated domestic assault after she pulled a knife on her husband during an argument.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. Dick worked for the Chattanooga Free-Press and the Chattanooga Times Free Press for 22 years. Free-Press Sports Editor Roy Exum plucked him out of production in 1989 and gave him a job as a sports reporter. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
