Police Briefs for May 6

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports provided by the administration.

May 5 Day Shift

5731 Scott Street (fraud):

Complainant’s PayPal account was hacked which prevented her from accessing her money. PayPal requested a police report be filed so they can begin the investigation.

1316 Laredo Avenue (burglary):

The residence was burglarized today between 0700 and 1415 hours. The resident’s black and white purse was stolen, and her wallet was located lying on a nearby roadway. CID processed the scene.

Night Shift

1521 Keeble St/Hide away(susp):

RP called in stating people jumped the fence. Nothing located.

Lynn Haven Fl. (recovery):

Police made contact with the Lynn Haven Police Department regarding a stolen Handgun that was recovered in their jurisdiction. The owner of the weapon was contacted and is making arrangements to retrieve the gun. The weapon was removed with NCIC.

201 Eads. #336 (vandalism):

Police were requested to call the resident concerning her 2017 Kia Soul being “keyed”. Police spoke with a woman who stated her car has been parked for the last two days and when she went out to leave, she noticed her passenger front and back door had been scratched up.

1521 Springvale RD (trespass):

Averoyan Sandridge was trespassed from 1521 Springvale Rd.

6700 Ringgold Rd (Warrant service):

Joel Armstrong was taken into custody for multiple warrants out of Cherokee County, North Carolina.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science.
