Nov. 10 Day Shift
3508 Ringgold Rd. (Walgreens) Fraud/21-016279:
A clerk was tricked into activating gift cards for $600 without paying for them .
1113 McBrien/Shots fired 21-016273:
Officers nearby on Lovell heard 4-6 shots fired in succession. Officers made their way across backyards and came out on McBrien Rd where several neighbors said they heard the shots in the vicinity of 1113 McBrien. Nothing located.
515 S. Lovell/Suspicious Person 21-016277:
Neighbors called police after seeing a subject entering a vacant home. Police encountered a man who turned out to be a contractor doing some electrical demolition.
1500 block Cora Dr/ Suspicious Person 21-016278:
Caller said there was a woman walking a dog while allegedly filming the houses. Police checked the area and did not locate anyone.
5330 Ringgold Road/ Lost Property 21-016286:
Unknown customer contacted Southern Honda Powersports management and advised them he left his pistol in their bathroom. Staff did not locate any firearm on the premises. Customer has not called back to provide any additional information at this time or contacted police.
515 Cedar Glen Cir (suspicious activity) 21-016270:
The resident advised police that her Ring camera recorded an unknown female party attempting to open her front door at approximately 04:48 hrs on this date. The resident presented police video of the subject, who appeared to turn the handle to the storm door and after a few attempts, walked away with another party. It was later found that the subjects were neighbors, who were unfamiliar with the address they were going to due to the residence having been remodeled.
5400 Ringgold Rd ( Arrest 21-016300):
Taylor Daniel was arrested following a traffic stop at this location for possession of schedule VI (resale) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
1100 block McBrien Rd (Contributing to Delinquency 21-016299):
Dani Perez was issued a misdemeanor citation for contributing to delinquency of a minor after it was discovered he provided beer to a 17-year-old.
1600 Mack Smith Rd (DUI 21-016296):
Jaime Garcia was the subject of a traffic stop at this location for driving recklessly on Ringgold Road. Two additional vehicles stopped at the scene advising he had hit their vehicles and left the scene. Investigation revealed the accidents occurred in Georgia, and Georgia State Patrol responded to work the crashes. Garcia was taken into custody by East Ridge for DUI 2nd, driving on revoked for DUI, open container, and reckless driving during the incident.
5301 Ringgold Rd (Deceptive Practice 21-016297):
Police responded to this location regarding an individual who called and posed as a Western Union representative. The Walgreen’s staff provided the suspect with approximately $758 dollars.
5400 block Oakdale Ave (Welfare Check 21-016307):
Police responded to check the welfare of a woman who called a health line to ask how long it would take to starve herself. She advised officers she had not eaten in two days and intended to continue not eating. She was transported to Parkridge East by EMS.
