Police Briefs for Nov. 19

This information was provided by the East Ridge Police Department from its “pass along” reports.

Nov. 18 Day Shift

1514 Waterhouse Street (trespassing):

Police were called to this boarded up residence regarding a possible squatter. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate anyone.

6501 Ringgold Road (bank fraud):

BB&T bank reported that a woman deposited approximately $20,000 worth of fraudulent checks and was able to withdraw approximately $10,000 of it before her account was frozen.

5308 Connell Street (stolen trailer recovery):

Police escorted the victim to this address in reference to the possible location of his trailer which had been stolen from Alabama. The trailer was located at the property and confirmed as stolen through NCIC. The trailer was released to the man and removed from NCIC.

Night Shift

1309 West End (Susp):

Reporting party called in stating she heard her kitchen window rattling and was unsure if someone was breaking in. Police checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.

1300 block San Hsi Drive:

A couple stated their 13-year-old daughter requested and sent multiple pornographic and non-pornographic images of herself to a person.  The parents provided police with the name of the person they believe to have received the images. 

Cathy/Pinellas (Shots Fired):

Police responded to the area regarding a shots fired call.  The caller advised that he heard about 20 gunshots at this intersection as well as people arguing.  Police searched the area but located nothing. 

1708 John Ross Road (Property Damage):

The resident called to report a vehicle running over her mailbox.  Multiple homes in the 1700 block of John Ross Road had damaged mailboxes.  The suspect vehicle was described as a dark colored car, possibly a 4-door.  The vehicle was last seen traveling South in the 1700 block of John Ross Road.  There is no other information at this time.
