Police Briefs for Nov. 5

Nov. 3 Day Shift

21-015916/1706 Keeble Street/ Criminal Littering: 

Management at Sunny’s Market reported that during the overnight hours an unknown suspect dumped a pile of brush and yard debris in their backlot.  No suspect information available at this time.

Night Shift

201 Eads Street (Weapon Arrest 21-015936):

Timothy Jerome Smith was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm following a traffic stop.

21-015923 4401 Ringgold Road / Mack’s Highway Market / Report:

Police responded to a deceptive practice called to this location. The store clerk advised police that a female had attempted to cash a fake check—report on file.

21-015941 6514 Ringgold Road / Mapco / Arrest:

Ricky Gray was arrested for resisting arrest as well as a warrant for terroristic threats through Whitfield County, Georgia, following a business check at this location.

S Seminole Dr/Bennett Rd (Arrest 21-015935):

Lisa Swain was taken into custody for Driving on revoked possession of drug paraphernalia.

3715 Ringgold Rd (Theft 21-015925):

Food City management observed two unknown males stealing multiple packs of Ribeye’s (6), equaling approximately $162. The subjects in question fled the scene in a silver Nissan Altima with damage to the passenger side door. Management provided pictures, but none were clear enough to ascertain a valid tag or good descriptors of the suspects.

21-015924 6200 Ringgold Road / Crash-Possible Injury: 

A black 2000 Honda Accord traveling eastbound ran into the back of a stopped black 2021 Toyota Avalon, which was pushed into the back of a car-hauler trailer.

21-015932 5900 Ringgold Road / Crash-Involving Fire: 

A white 2016 Dodge Journey was traveling eastbound and crossed the center turn lane, both westbound lanes, and hit a utility pole on the north side of the roadway.  The Dodge caught fire, causing damage to a nearby 2019 Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel Camper on the lot of Chattanooga Camper Sales, Inc., 5911 Ringgold Road.
