Police Briefs for November 17

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift November 16

23-014502- 3100 BLK Ringgold Road- Check Hazard- The caller advised a baby stroller was blocking the sidewalk. On scene police located the stroller but it was not a hazard.

23-014511- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- AOA- Police were dispatched with ERFD on a smoke investigation. On scene a small brush fire was located. ERFD extinguished the blaze.

23-014512- 3600 BLK Larry Lane- Unconscious Person- Police were dispatched with EMS on an unresponsive female. EMS handled the call. The patient was transported to the hospital.

Night Shift November 16

No Number – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Check Well Being – Police were approached by a bondsman requesting police assistance in locating a friend of his passenger. She stated her friend sent text messages to her earlier about trying to leave her child’s father after a dispute arose between them. Police found them on Spriggs Street and were informed it was a misunderstanding/miscommunication. Police checked on the minor child as well at this location. All parties were safe and secure, and police left the scene without further issue.

23-014525 – 3500 BLK Connelly Lane – MVC NEG Injuries – Police responded to this location regarding a crash with a male possibly being intoxicated. On scene, police located a male running towards his house. Police took the driver into custody for Driving under the influence, Financial Responsibility, and Due Care. He will also be issued several citations for driving an unregistered vehicle and improperly displaying his license plate. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

23-014526 – 6100 BLK Bermuda Avenue – Civil Matter – Police responded to this location for what initially was a disorder complaint. Police spoke with a woman who stated her daughter, and she had an argument. Shortly after the argument, the RP stated her daughter took off in a Nissan Armada. The caller stated she just wanted police to be on the lookout for her daughter to make sure she is ok if contact is made.
