Police Briefs for October 17

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

October 14 – Day Shift

22-014266- 1502 McDonald Road- Suspicious People-

The caller advised a homeless male and female were loitering on the property. On scene police encountered Mark Walling. Walling was found to have a sessions court warrant. He was transported to Silverdale.

22-014271- Clemons Road- Suspicious People-

The caller advised of two males attempting to use the porta-toilet at this address. On scene the males had already left the area.

22-014272- 3100 blk of Ringgold Road- Check Hazard-

The caller requested police help with turning around three large motorhomes stopped at the tunnels. On scene police blocked traffic and assisted the motorhomes.

22-014278- 4222 Ringgold Road- Car Fire-

Police responded with ERFD on a car fire at the gas pump. On scene police stood by while ERFD handled the call.

22-014279- 3100 blk of Ringgold Road- Check Hazard-

The caller advised of an eighteen wheeler stuck in the tunnel. On scene the truck was located just over halfway through. TDOT was notified and a wrecker responded to remove the truck.

October 14 – Night Shift

22-014287- Camp Jordan Parkway- Assault-

Police responded to in reference to a delayed assault. After a brief investigation it was determined Justin Armstrong was the suspect in the assault. A warrant for his arrest will be taken.

22-014294- 4214 Ringgold Road- Arrest-Warrant-

Liberty Bonding turned over Kevin Lamont Williams to police due to Forfeiture Capias warrants for Driving Without a License.

22-014295- 900 Belvoir Ave- DUI-

William Underwood was taken into custody for DUI, open container law, and speeding during a traffic stop at this location.

22-014298-Marion Ave- Shots Fired-

Police responded to location after receiving a call for shots fired in the area. Upon arrival officers observed the disturbance to be fireworks coming from the 5300 block of Matthews Dr. The residents were advised to not shoot fireworks.

22-014307- 1417 St Thomas St- Warrant Service-

Calesta Manasco was taken into custody on an outstanding East Ridge warrant during a traffic stop at this location.

22-014306– 1500 Keeble St– Drug Arrest-

During a traffic stop at this location Amy White was found to be in possession of methamphetamine for resale. She was arrested and charged accordingly.

October 15 – Day Shift

22-014310- Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person-

Staff contacted ERPD in reference to a woman repeatedly returning to the store to steal cans of compressed air. Police located the woman in the tree line of the parking lot inhaling the contents of the can. Police also observed several empty cans of air nearby. Walmart management wanted to prosecute. She was transported to the ER and was kept for observation. She also had several warrants through East Ridge, Hamilton CO. and GA. She was issued Misdemeanor Citations for Public Intox and shoplifting.

22-014314- Court Drive- Burglary in Progress-

Dispatch advised of a phase two 911 call at the Cascade Motel. The caller advised someone was attempting to break into the residence on Court Drive. On scene police spoke with the occupants of the residence and they advised there was no burglary. The unknown caller could not be located.

No number assigned- 6000 blk of Ringgold Road- AOA Warrant Service-

Colby Fairchild was detained and turned over to HCSO following a traffic stop.

22-014318- 7609 Standifer Gap Road- Warrant Service-

Brittany Penn was served an East Ridge warrant at Silverdale.

22-014327-McBrien Road- Suspicious People-

The caller advised a male and female walking north were looking in yards and mailboxes. On scene police spoke with the couple. They advised they were looking for property they had lost earlier. They were checked for warrants and sent on their way.

October 15 – Night Shift

22-014335- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Drug Arrest-

During an encounter in the parking lot of the Budgetel Inn, Qudarius Smith was found to be in possession of MDMA for resale, meth for resale, and marijuana.

22-014346- 941 Spring Creek Rd- Disorder-

Police responded after a patient continued to act unruly throughout the night. Officers spoke with the individual. The patient was observed to have damaged hospital equipment and made threats toward staff. Officers will follow up with hospital staff once the victim of the threats arrive to their shift.

22-014348-Ringgold Road- Abandon Auto-

Person(s) unknown abandoned a 2008 Jeep Liberty near fuel pump #12 and did not inform anyone at the store. A wrecker towed the vehicle.

October 16 – Day Shift

22-014347-Brockhaven Road- Auto Theft-

The victim stated that his black 2017 Jeep Cherokee had been stolen overnight around 0210 hours. Police were shown Ring Camera footage an unknown male near the vehicle with the passenger door open and then the vehicle left. The victim stated he is in possession of his keys to the vehicle; however, his wife’s keys must have been left with the vehicle. The vehicle was entered into NCIC.

22-014354- Ringgold Road- Disorder-

The caller advised a male was at the business talking to himself and yelling. On scene the male had already left the property. He was not located.

22-014355- South Seminole Drive- Vehicle Burglary-

The caller advised his vehicle was entered during the night. He advised sometime during the overnight hours of last evening, an unknown suspect, entered two of his work trucks that were parked outside of his duplex in the driveway. The trucks had been ransacked. He advised his wallet, black leather containing three credit cards and two hundred dollars ($200) in cash was missing.

October 16 – Night Shift

22-014376- State Line Road- Backup Other Agency-

Officer stood by at this location while a subject had an assessment performed with staff present.

22-014379- 1500 Prater Road- DUI Arrest

Police conducted a traffic stop at this location. Bryan Sebastian was arrested for DUI, Driving on Revoked for DUI, Open Container, and Implied Consent and Nicolas Gonzales was arrested for Public Intoxication.

22-014380- 6600 Ringgold Road- Drug arrest-

Robert Swartout Jr. was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

22-014389- Helen Lane- Property Damage-

The caller advised she heard a crash in her living room and found her front window to be broken. It was unclear how the window was damaged.

22-014391- Belvoir Avenue- Shots Fired-

The reporting party called police to report that her vehicle had been shot at in the 700 block of Belvoir Avenue. She described the suspect vehicle as a silver or light gray Mercedes sedan with a blue TN tag, occupied by at least two males. She last saw the vehicle turning left onto Wiley Avenue. CID was notified. The vehicle description was BOLO’d county wide and also to Catoosa County.

22-014392-Brookfield Circle- Prowler-

Reporting person was awakened by someone banging on the back door. A search located no one
