Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

East Ridge police are looking for the man who robbed a local loan shop on Wednesday morning.

According to Assistant Police Chief Stan Allen, a black man in his 20s came into the Great American Loans store at 5309 Ringgold Rd. at about 10:15 a.m. wielding a black handgun. The man made away with an unknown amount of cash and fled the business toward Oakdale Avenue.

Police said the slender-built suspect was wearing a black jacket, black pants and black shoes. Chief Allen said that police have a photo of the suspect that will be released to the public shortly.
