On Sunday evening at approximately 1656 hours, officers with the East Ridge Police Department (ERPD) were dispatched to the 5600 block of Ringgold Road in response to a shots fired call.

Upon arrival, officers collected physical evidence and obtained witness statements. The investigation led officers to a residence on Shady Drive in East Ridge, where the suspect was believed to be located.

Officers subsequently located and arrested Mark A. Porto, a 42-year-old white male from Ringgold, GA. Porto was taken into custody without incident and charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment.
