Road Closures Next Week on John Ross

The City of East Ridge is notifying the public of two scheduled full road closures on John Ross Road as part of ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts under the City’s P3 program. The work, to be performed by Vortex Companies with traffic control provided by Superior Traffic Control, involves installing liners in underground manholes to improve system performance and extend service life.

The closures will occur consecutively, beginning Monday, August 11, 2025, and are expected to be completed by mid-week, weather and site conditions permitting.

Closure Schedule & Locations:

 Plan #3 – John Ross Road from Sunrise Terrace to Cherokee Avenue

 Date: Monday, August 11, 2025

  • Time: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (estimated)
  • A full closure will be in place for both directions of

Plan #2 – John Ross Road at Coleman Circle to Edwards Terrace

 Date: Will begin immediately after completion of Plan #3 (expected Tuesday, August 12, or Wednesday, August 13, 2025)

  • Time: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (estimated)
  • A full closure will be in place for both directions of

Detour Routes:

 For Plan #3 – Traffic will follow posted detour signs around the Sunrise Terrace to Cherokee Avenue work zone.

For Plan #2 – All traffic will be detoured via Coleman Circle ➝ Laredo Avenue ➝ Bennett Road.

Flaggers from Superior Traffic Control will be stationed along detour routes to assist motorists and maintain local access where possible.
