Scoreless Draw Gives Red Wolves Vital Point

October 24, 2021 By Contributed Article 0 Comments

The Red Wolves didn’t score a goal on the Greenville Triumph SC, Saturday night on the road, but the scoreless draw earned them a point in USL League One standings.

The Red Wolves moved to 11-5-11 on the season, good enough for second in the 12-team league standings. The R’ Wolves will travel to face Forward Madison in its final game of the regular season next week.

A second-place finish will give the Red Wolves a bye in the playoffs and push them to a semi-final match in the friendly confines of CHI Memorial Stadium.

Union Omaha (14-5-8) clinched the league’s regular-season championship with a win Saturday over the Richmond Kickers, who finished fourth in the regular season.
