Special Called Meeting Nov. 2

The East Ridge City Council will hold a special called meeting on Friday, officials said.

The purpose of the meeting is to have a second reading of Ordinance 1084 which regards general administration.

The meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. at City Hall on Tombras Avenue.

In part, Ordinance 1084 will create the title of Assistant City Manager tied to the existing position of Director of City Services.

Kenny Custer is the Director of City Services and has been groomed by City Manager Scott Miller to step in as interim upon his retirement. Miller announced months ago that he would retire effective October 26. He subsequently pushed back his retirement date to allow for the passage of the ordinance.
