This from East Ridge Fire Chief Mike Williams: On April 23 at approximately 2:28 pm, East Ridge Fire and East Ridge Police were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire located in the 18300 block of Interstate 24 West bound. Chattanooga Fire was also dispatched due to the call being at the city limits and it was unclear on jurisdiction.
East Ridge units arrived on scene and reported a passenger vehicle heavy involved with fire. Crews started to extinguish the fire. Chattanooga Fire arrived and assisted East Ridge crews with manpower and additional water.
